It’s funny, the other day I was trying my best to convince a couple of folks that Murdoch Mysteries could literally be shot in present day Toronto, with all those old warehouses, homes, and buildings actually existing right now in the real world. We might not have a lot of century-old buildings still kicking around but we can at least try to save the good stuff going forward.

If we can’t afford to re-purpose it now, at least this historical and cultural asset will be available in the future when we do have the funds. We can not see a building of this calibre and potential go to waste.

Since the building is a designated historical building, Epcor should be on the hook for the $8,000,000 to repair the building. I agree that at least the facade should be saved and repurposed.
